Characters are generated based on the photos you upload and the Character Sheet you approved. Occasional inconsistencies between pages are normal — AI-generated images aren't perfect, and small differences can appear across a book.
Here's what to do if something looks wrong.
If you notice it during Character Sheet review
This is the best time to fix it. Click "Edit" on the character and describe what needs to change ("make his hair darker," "she looks too old"). You can iterate before approving.
If you notice it after the book is generated
Use the page editor to fix individual pages. Tap "Edit" on the page, then "Image," and describe the change. This includes cases where AI made a bigger mistake, like showing a character twice on the same page. It's also common for perspective or the orientation of objects to look slightly off — most of the time this can be adjusted in the page editor, though perspective issues can sometimes be tricky to fully correct. You can also regenerate the full illustration if needed.
If it's affecting multiple pages
Run Quality Check. It scans every page for inconsistencies and flags issues you can fix in one place. It doesn't catch everything, but it's a good first pass.
If you spot something after ordering
Contact us via chat with a photo of the issue. If the printed book doesn't match your approved preview, we'll send a replacement at no cost.
